Serving Christ With Open Minds, Open Hearts, and Open Hands

Wild Puppet Company is an intergenerational ministry to share the Word of God through the use of parody, props, and puppets.  Do you want to give us a hand?  First graders through retirees welcome!  Our new church facilities will enable us to have dinner together during our Wednesday evening practices times!  Contact Kathy Gillmore (wpckathyg@sbcglobal.net) if you are interested in helping with dinner plans.

Our big performance will be for the Christmas Program on December 9 at 5:00 p.m.  We are likely to schedule some “dress rehearsals” at local nursing homes.  Our team will meet to design, stage, and practice for this presentation following this tentative schedule:

* The first step is to determine whether or not you will be available for the performance.
* Next, examine whether or not you will be able to make it to a majority of the design/practice sessions.
* If you give this project a green light, contact Director Pam Peters.
* Choose between the options of Puppets or Christian Magic/Ballooning.  Training for both is available.
* The initial all-day workshop provides basic training for new puppeteers, intermediate training for experienced members, and a chance to jump-start the design process.
* Early meetings will be design-oriented where we will brainstorm, make decisions, and volunteer for prop or costume making projects.
* Middle of the road meetings will involve prop and costume making and practicing without the stage.
* Later meetings will involve complete dress rehearsals with all puppets, props, and staging in place.

Attendance is very important and will determine the nature of the role you will play in the presentation.  Not every team member will be able to make every practice and we can work with that as long as we know about it and adjust accordingly.  Join us!
