Tiny Treasures Preschool - A Ministry of the Wildwood Presbyterian Church
Michelle DuBois, Lead Teacher
Miss Michelle has a BA degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University and a MA degree in Language Arts from Northeastern Illinois University. She taught first and second grade for 16 years in local school districts before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Miss Michelle is the lead teacher for our four-year-old class.

Miss Michelle has been married to Mike for nine years and they have two sons, David (6) and Robbie (4). David is a Tiny Treasures graduate who is currently in first grade at Woodland Elementary and Robbie is in the three-year-old class at Tiny Treasures. Along with teaching preschool, Miss Michelle enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes playing outdoor sports, reading and traveling.

Miss Michelle loves teaching the four-year-old class at Tiny Treasures. She feels blessed to be a part of such a wonderful preschool!
Cheryl Rennells-Lannoye, Assistant Teacher
Miss Cheryl has a BS degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. For 16 years she worked in the public schools, as well as the local park district. She believes in meeting each child's individual needs. She has worked with special needs children in various classroom settings and has provided many years of support to classroom teachers and children. Miss Cheryl is the assistant teacher in the four-year-old class.

Miss Cheryl has two college age boys, Stuart and Drew. She enjoys gardening, traveling, crafts and swimming. She is often busy with volunteer work, baking, or presenting an Occupational Therapy topic to enrich others.

Miss Cheryl feels honored to be a part of Tiny Treasures Christian Preschool, and its wonderful staff.
Jan Springborn, Lead Teacher
Miss Jan holds a BS in Elementary Education from North Central College and a Master's Degree in Library Science from Northern Illinois University. She has more than 30 years’ experience as a children’s reference librarian and preschool teacher. Miss Jan is the lead teacher for our three-year-old class.

Miss Jan is married to Paul and they have one daughter, Elizabeth, who teaches first grade and is married to David who is also a teacher. Elizabeth and David have a precious and precocious three-year-old son named Henry David. Miss Jan is honored to hold the title of Nimna, given to her by Henry when he was just two years old. Nimna enjoys spending her Mondays with Henry at his home in Harvard, IL, where they play trains, games, read, plant flowers, go to the park and the library, and sometimes (through Henry’s imagination) feed the entire Milwaukee Brewer’s team with fish crackers and milk. Henry David will become a big brother this March.

Miss Jan and Paul share their home with Leila, a rather large orange and black cat. In her free time, Miss Jan loves to read, knit, count birds for Project Feeder Watch from November through April each year, and work in her garden. She feels blessed to be able to share crafts, outside playtime, sign language, stories, and special moments with the children who teach her something new each day.
Darlene Isaac, Preschool Director and Assistant Teacher
Miss Darlene has her BS degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College in Boston, MA and her Master's degree in Education from Nazareth College in Pittsford, NY. She has 30 years' experience in the field of early childhood education and also has a background in Godly Play, a hands-on way of teaching Bible stories to young children. She also worked for seven years as a Christian Education Director at Christ Clarion Presbyterian Church in Pittsford, NY. In addition to being the Preschool Director, Miss Darlene is also the assistant teacher for the three-year-old class.

Miss Darlene moved to Illinois two years ago with her husband, Walt, and dog, Charlie. This was their first move in 29 years of marriage and they are happy to have found a new family of church friends at Wildwood Presbyterian Church. She and Walt have two children, Peter (21) and Emily (25). Peter is studying bass trombone as a performance major in Buffalo, NY. Emily graduated from Boston University and has been a music teacher for three years in the Boston area. Miss Darlene and Walt also raised their 30-year-old nephew from the time he was 14 to his early twenties. Justin went to Colombia College in Chicago and has stayed and worked there ever since. They also have more family in Lake Forest and Glen Ellyn which helped the move from New York to Illinois immensely.

Miss Darlene’s favorite thing to do besides teaching, listening, guiding and playing with children is to be with her family. A big part of her family is their golden retriever, Charlie, who loves his new home on the lake and all the dog parks and forest preserves in the Lake County area. Miss Darlene feels fortunate and blessed to have such a terrific job, with a great staff and preschool board, in the church where she feels welcome and at home.
