Serving Christ With Open Minds, Open Hearts, and Open Hands
Sunday Mornings: September through May we have four challenging, thought-provoking Sunday School classes for adults.
Bible Study, led by Ted Custod, meets in the Bokirk Library (Room 50). Ted leads this verse by verse study of scripture. All are welcome to share insights, questions, and convictions as we learn from one another as together we study God's word.
Wild Life...Lifestyles of the Faithful and Fit, led by Debbie Solbrig meets in the sanctuary. How fit is your faith? Your body? Yep, that's right, your body. As 1 Corinthians 6 says: Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body. Spend some time this fall growing in faithful community while shrinking some of the bad stuff from your life. Wild Life, an adult offering based on the Daniel Plan will be offered in the sanctuary during the Sunday School hour. The Daniel Plan, by Rick Warren (The Purpose Driven Life), is a healthy lifestyle program emphasizing five interrelated aspects: faith, food, fitness, focus and friends/fellowship. Come grow and shrink with other Wildwood friends this fall!
Church History for Belivers, led by Dr. Steve Fratt, meets in the Beach House (room 42). Join Steve, a professor of history at Trinity International University, on a journey through western civilization as participants take a look at Christ and the Romans this fall. What did the Roman Republic look like as Christianity emerged? What were the values that created an empire before Christ came? Christians were, at first, persecuted, but how did Christianity triumph over Rome? You may be surprised to discover that events and issues from long-ago centuries are still lively in today's world!
Tuesday Night Lectures: These exciting presentations deal with current issues in the world from a Christian perspective. See the church calendar for dates and times.
